
The NNRA weekly in-house seminar recently featured Barr. John Adamu, Deputy General Manager, International Cooperation Division who delivered a presentation on, the key functions of the Division. These include managing bilateral and multilateral partnerships, coordinating international training programmes, and preparing reports of all engagements with relevant regional and global bodies.
Barr. Adamu emphasized the importance of international collaboration in ensuring safety and compliance as nuclear technology continues to expand across different sectors such as medicine, industry, oil and gas. He noted that these partnerships help align Nigeria’s regulatory practices with global standards.
He further noted that through its international engagements, the NNRA continues to strengthen its collaboration with organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), United States Department of Energy (US-DOE), Forum of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA) etc, thereby enhancing Nigeria’s regulatory framework and promoting the safe and peaceful application of nuclear technology.
