The training equipped participants with practical skills to identify and manage radiation hazards, implement monitoring and protection measures, and establish safety programmes aligned with Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority and International Atomic Energy Agency standards.

The training course was graced by the presence of the Director of the National Institute of Radiation Protection and Research, Dr. Samuel Oyeyemi, alongside distinguished experts including Dr. Isa Sambo, Abdulhadi Abdullahi, Falalu, and other esteemed resource persons.

With over 70 participants from solid mineral processing facilities, the training strengthened radiation safety capacity and promotes safer, more compliant practices across Nigeria’s mining sector.
