NNRA ORGANISES TWO-DAY RETREAT ON FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND INSTITUTIONAL EXCELLENCE

The Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA), in collaboration with Global Model Resources Limited,  commenced a two-day Financial Budget Retreat for  Senior Officers of the Authority in Abuja. The retreat, themed “Strengthening Financial Accountability and Institutional Excellence,” is designed to enhance prudent financial management, promote operational transparency, and improve service delivery.

Declaring the retreat open, the DG/CEO of the NNRA, Dr. Yau Idris, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to sound financial governance and accountability. He stressed the importance of aligning the Authority’s financial management practices with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in promoting fiscal discipline, value for money, and the efficient utilisation of public resources.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Model Resources Limited, Dr. Samuel Eno, commended the NNRA Management for its continued investment in staff capacity development. He expressed confidence that the retreat would further equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to strengthen financial accountability, improve institutional performance, and sustain excellence in the Authority’s operations.

The retreat brings together officers from across the Authority to deepen their understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and accountability frameworks that support the NNRA’s mandate of ensuring the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear and radiation technologies in Nigeria.
