NNRA DG RECEIVES NUPENG OFFICIALS ON COURTESY VISIT

The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA), Dr. Yau Usman Idris, received a delegation of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), led by the Kaduna Zonal Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Haruna, on a courtesy visit to the Authority’s headquarters in Abuja. The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between NNRA Management and the union on industrial relations and other areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the delegation introduced its newly elected zonal executives and highlighted key areas for collaboration, including capacity building for union officials, corporate social responsibility initiatives in the oil and gas sector, and support for the passage of the Nuclear Safety and Security Bill. Comrade Haruna commended the Director General for fostering a cordial labour-management relationship and pledged the union’s continued support for the Authority.

In his response, Dr. Idris appreciated the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed Management’s commitment to sustaining industrial harmony and constructive engagement with NUPENG. He assured the union that the issues raised would receive due consideration and reiterated NNRA’s commitment to staff welfare and the effective delivery of its regulatory mandate.
