NNRA DG RECEIVES NUPENG NATIONAL PRESIDENT ON COURTESY VISIT

The DG of NNRA, Dr. Yau Idris, today hosted the National President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Comrade Williams Akporeha, at the Authority’s headquarters in Abuja.

The courtesy visit centered on issues of staff welfare, union collaboration, training, and the promotion of harmonious industrial relations within the NNRA.

In his remarks, Dr. Idris welcomed the NUPENG delegation and underscored the Authority’s mandate of ensuring nuclear safety and radiation protection in Nigeria. He reiterated the NNRA’s commitment to staff welfare, stating that a motivated workforce is key to achieving regulatory excellence.

Comrade Akporeha thanked the NNRA for the warm reception and reaffirmed the union’s support for initiatives that promote staff well-being. He emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and partnership between the union and management, and commended the Authority’s efforts in fostering a positive work environment.
