NNRA DEEPENS NUCLEAR SECURITY ENGAGEMENT AT NISS CBRNE WORKSHOP

The NNRA has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s nuclear security preparedness through its participation in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) workshop organised by the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) for Course 19 participants.

The workshop, themed “Evolving Technologies, Resource Competition, Nuclear Security Culture and CBRNE Preparedness: Navigating Africa’s Conflict Dynamics,” brings together management-level personnel to examine emerging technologies and evolving security threats, with particular attention to preparedness and strategic responses to CBRNE-related risks across  the continent

As part of the engagement, the NNRA is contributing its regulatory expertise through specialised presentations on nuclear and radiological safety and security. The Authority’s participation provides an opportunity to strengthen awareness of nuclear security issues among key stakeholders and promote a coordinated approach to preventing, preparing for and responding to emerging CBRNE threats.
